Product review

WD Elements 10TB is a straightforward, value-oriented desktop external drive. It provides ample capacity, quiet operation and reliable performance for backups and media storage. Transfers are fast over USB 3.0 and the unit is easy to set up (plug-and-play on Windows). Expect to use an external power adapter—normal for high-capacity desktop drives.

Pros: high capacity, simple setup, good transfer speeds.
Cons: requires external power; usable capacity is lower than advertised due to formatting.
