Quick review

The Edifier R2000DB punches well above its size: detailed highs from the 25 mm Eagle Eye tweeters, solid midrange and surprisingly controlled low end for a bookshelf set without a subwoofer. DSP control helps keep the sound balanced across volume levels, while Bluetooth plus optical and RCA inputs make it flexible for many sources. The high-gloss finish looks premium though it shows fingerprints. Overall a great all-rounder for desktop and small-room listening.

• Pros: powerful, balanced sound; versatile inputs; included remote; quality build.
• Cons: no dedicated subwoofer — deep sub-bass lovers may want an add-on sub.
